Kawana Touch Juniors

Our Merger is Official! 
The former Sunny Coast Dolphins Touch junior competition (previously held at Unity College) has officially merged with Kawana Touch Association and is now known as Kawana Touch Juniors.
We warmly welcome the amazing Sunny Coast Dolphins Touch management and the helpful volunteers who ran the successful competition early in the year and look forward to delivering the same fun competition at our Kawana Touch fields.
By joining forces with an affiliate such as Kawana Touch Association, it means there are great outcomes for all junior players, including:
  • talent identification
  • development and representative pathway opportunities (i.e. the potential to progress through club, regional and state levels)
  • ability to attend Queensland Touch Football organised carnivals and competitions throughout Queensland, and
  • it will provide a pathway into the adult competition. 
Kawana Touch Association is a FairPlay Activity Provider and accepts FairPlay vouchers for our Kawana Touch Junior competitions.

2023 Junior Comp Details
  • Start date: Wednesday, 30 August 2023
  • Competition end: Wednesday, 8 November 2023 (9 weeks of games, plus 2 weeks break during September school holidays)
  • Costs: $92 per player (this includes the $22 annual TFA National Membership Fee, paid once each financial year)
  • Location: Kawana Touch Fields, 1 Milieu Place, Birtinya (Kawana Sports Western Precinct)
  • Game times: 4pm-6pm
  • Age groups: 8 & under, 10 & under, 12 & under, 15 & under

Important information
  • All teams require a minimum of 9 players
  • In order to play in the competition players must be registered and have paid the competition fee (see our HOME page for more information)
  • A team delegate/manager is required for each team
  • We are encouraging parents to coach and or assist wherever possible. Please note, a Blue Card is required for all Team Coaches and will need to be sighted by Kawana Touch Administration.  You can apply for a FREE Blue Card at Qld Govt Blue Card Services.
  • If you have child wanting to play, but doesn't have a team, please complete our Expression of Interest Form (located in link below)
  • Please contact us if you or anyone you know is interested in:
    • a paid refereeing role (we are encouraging kids (12 and above) through to adults to referee in our comp)
    • being a sponsor

Junior Coordinators

Our Junior Coordinators will be critical to the continuity and success of our junior competition week in and week out. They are responsible for seamless competition management, parent/guardian liaison and communication, and creating opportunities for our juniors to develop their skills and reach their potential.
